it's a pile of scrap steel at a recycler's yard. looks like it used to be a bridge, maybe? judging from the green color. i took four frames from different angles but they were a bit boring. so i took details from each, assembled them [in a way that they almost seem to continue from one vignette to the next] and then ran a 'mesh warp' special effect -- as much as i ususally dislike such effects, seemed like a natural here to make the already twisted members even more so.
i took some other shots last year at the same place, when they had all of the recyclable parts of the old clark school stacked in their yard. demolition photos can be kind of exciting and i'm always on the lookout. the old native hospital on east 3rd was great... took them a long time, huge piles of rebar twisted up like big tumbleweeds.
that was more than you wanted to know, eh.

Jackson's impact could be noticed right at the start when the Osmonds on Andy Whosits show suddenly adopted Jackson 5 style, or tried to (imitation was always lame). There was too close an association with bubblegum with the Jackson 5 for my taste, but, oh boy, when he went solo!

I agree with you - I never believed the allegations. I just think he never got to be a kid when he was a kid.

Nice blog. Wanted to stop by and thank you for sending me to Celtic Diva re: Sullivan's stuff. Love your photos. You make Alaska sound enticing. But I like being naked and warm and I don't think the 49th state would serve me very well there. But, sure is pretty.

here's a weird idea for you. get three other bikes, clunkers, and chain the four of them together when you're not home. they will be too big for anyone to take out the door. and you will have some spares and when friends come over you can all ride around the hood together.
