Scarlett: It’s true, though! Don’t you think??
Rhett: You won’t admit you screwed everything up. I don’t even want to talk to you.
Scarlett: I wanted to see some other people. There’s nothing wrong with that. How was I supposed to know you would totally disappear from my life?
Rhett: I DIDN’T!!
Scarlett: Yes, you did. You just totally folded and went away.
Rhett: I did not. I called and came by a lot. I gradually stopped, because you said that’s what you wanted.
Scarlett: I want to get married. You were never going to marry me.
Rhett: Sure I would have! But you never even mentioned it.
Scarlett: You were supposed to ask ME!
Rhett: Well, I could never marry you…
